Tsetsens Mining and Energy LLC Recognized as One of Mongolia’s Best Enterprises|

The Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MNCCI) organized the “ENTREPRENEUR-2025” awards for the 28th consecutive year, honoring enterprises that make tangible contributions to Mongolia’s social and economic development.
At this prestigious event, Tsetsens Mining and Energy LLC was named one of the Top 10 Best Enterprises of 2025 and was further distinguished with the Construction and Infrastructure Entrepreneur of the Year award.
The company’s successfully implemented Buuruljuut Power Plant, with Units I and II fully operational at a combined capacity of 300 MW in 2025, has significantly strengthened Mongolia’s energy independence. The plant plays a critical role in addressing Ulaanbaatar’s electricity supply shortage and currently provides approximately 30% of the country’s total domestic electricity consumption. This output is sufficient to fully meet the electricity needs of 98% of households nationwide, equivalent to approximately 963,000 households.
As of 2025, the power plant has generated a total of 1 billion kWh of electricity, supplying reliable and stable power to Mongolia’s Central Energy System.
